New investments for the food group Divella, a Pugliese exporter with 40% of revenues (340 million in 2013) obtained in foreign markets. By 2015, 30 million euro will be invested to double the assets of its cookie factories, to build a new production line of dry pasta (there are more than 150 formats today), to expand its warehouses and to build a site for the storage of 15 thousand tons of wheat. With this new investment, the production capacity of pasta should pass from 2.2 to 2.5 million tons annually by next year. The fourth generation group – a producer of durum wheat since 1890, with 350 direct employees (180 in related industries) – is present in 130 countries. The latest overseas agreement is with the American company Pizza Hut, which operates the Pizza & Pasta Hut chain in China of which Divella is supplier. With this company, the Italian group is already working in Singapore and a final agreement could be followed in the USA.
